OUR MISSION

We exist to bring hope to our community by practicing the way of Jesus until it is in Nashville as it is in Heaven.

Our 5 Core Values

WE LIVE LIKE

The Bible is True

The story of God and His people that we find in scripture defines our reality and centers our faith on timeless truth and wisdom.

The Gospel Changes Us

Personal transformation is the result of faith in Jesus and a life lived in apprenticeship to Him.

Community is Essential

God created us in His image and designed us for relationships–so truly knowing and being known by others is essential to a flourishing life.

Culture Matters

We want our church culture to embody the love of Christ in ways that compel those who visit and those in our surrounding community to want to know Jesus.

The World Needs Hope

Jesus brought the good news of the Kingdom to a world that needs hope, and as apprentices of His, we share that good news with the world today.

Statement of Faith

1. We believe in one eternal God expressed in three persons:Father, Son and Holy Spirit who exist in perfect harmony with one another. (2 Cor. 13:14, John 10:30, Matt. 1:23, Matt. 28:19, Matt. 3:16-17)

2. God created and perfectly ordered the cosmos and all that is in it. This includes humanity, whom he made in His image as male and female to live in perfect harmony with Him and His creation for His glory. (Gen. 1 and 2, Col. 1:16, John 1:1-3, Psalm 104:24, Job 38:4)

3. Humans disrupted the order of God’s perfect creation and forfeited face to face fellowship with Him by choosing to sin. As a result, all humans bear the stain of sin and are subject to physical and spiritual death. (Gen. 3, Rom. 3:23, Rom. 6:23, 1 John 1:8-10)

4. Jesus came into the world as God in the flesh. He lived a sinless life, exhibited the character of God, called others to follow Him,  performed miracles, loved society’s outcasts, challenged religious leaders in sin, and chose to give up His life through being crucified on a cross. (Matt. 1:23, Is. 53:5, 2 Cor. 5:21, Heb. 1:3, Col. 2:9-10, Luke 5:27-32, Luke 6:1-10, Matt. 26:47-67, Matt. 27:11-66)

5. Through our faith in the death and resurrection of the Son, Jesus Christ, our sin is forgiven, death is defeated, and we are restored to harmony and fellowship with God. (2 Cor. 5:18-19, Heb. 2:17, 1 Tim. 2:5, 1 Cor. 15:54-56, John 11:25, Eph. 2:8-9)

6. Jesus inaugurated God’s Kingdom on earth and the eventual demise of the kingdom of darkness and death. In God’s Kingdom, we are living temples in whom God now dwells as He works through us to restore harmony to the world. (Mark 1:15, Luke 17:20-21, Col. 1:13, 1 Cor. 3:16, 2 Cor. 6:16, Eph. 2:17-22)

7. The Holy Spirit is the seal of our salvation through the Son, Jesus Christ. He is the living power within us Who, brings about conviction that leads to repentance, instructs us in Godly wisdom, enables us to bear fruit, and transforms every part of our being. (John 14:26, Acts 2:38, Acts 1:8, Rom. 8:9, 1 Cor. 2:13, Eph. 4:30, Gal. 5:22-25)

8.  In love, God desires every person to be saved, and His offer of grace and salvation is available to all who place their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. (1 John 1:9-10, 1 Tim. 2:3-4, 2 Peter 3:9)

9. The Bible is God’s revelation of Himself to humanity and His plan for redemption penned by human authors who He inspired with His Holy Spirit. The original Word of God is infallible and alive, serving as a mirror for each reader providing wisdom, transformation, edification, encouragement, conviction, correction, and instruction. (2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12, Psalm 19:7-14)

10. God inaugurated His Church by resting His Spirit upon His people and empowering them to live as Christ’s body by sacrificially loving and serving all people inside and outside the Church. In this way, the Church serves as a witness and expression of God’s character to the world. Through Christ, people from all backgrounds are reconciled to God and to each other, leading to one united Church of believers. (Romans 12:4-5, Gal. 3:28-29, Eph. 2:19-22, 1 Peter 2:9-10, 2 Cor. 5:18, Acts 2:42-47)

11. God will one day perfectly and justly judge all of humanity, consummating the salvation of all who trusted in Him and honoring the choice of those who did not by separating them eternally from Him. In that day, His Kingdom will come in fullness: God will dwell with his people, all of creation will be redeemed, and perfect harmony will be restored forever. (Daniel 7:27, Rev. 20:11-15, Rev. 21-22:5, Jude 1:6, 2 Peter 3:13, Is. 65:25)
